Arbeit mach frei?
Assemblage of found objects
Pages from a West Berlin passport
Main page behind mica
In old wooden structure, 16 x 21 x 8 cm
by Dale Copeland, 2017

Arbeit mach frei? No, work won't make you free, but a passport might.
Passport page behind mica. A natural rock that you can cut into thin crystalline slices, just using a scalpel knife. Lovely stuff.
I had to buy a retro toaster on TradeMe to get some. Stupidly expensive but I really wanted that mica.
And now I'm on a roll, using mica with my assemblages.
