Mountain Taranaki
A painting series by Donna Willard-Moore
(Why oval shaped paintings?)
Most of the art traditions work in rectangles with a few exceptions like the "tondo", round paintings or fresco,
which conforms to the shape of the ceiling it on.
However, looking out your eyes right now you're looking through an oval not a rectangle - Your field of vision has no
corners. This changes the compositional field problems, but once your vision connects to the oval, the absence of the
corners is satisfying and intensifying.
