Lisa was born in New Plymouth in 1967, trained and exhibited as a glass blower for six years from a local studio, and has recently completed a
Bachelor in Visual Arts degree.
Lisa now focuses on developing her painting career and is influenced by Artists such as J.M.W. Turner, Mark Rothko, Ann Craven and John Reynolds.
Her work is emotive and drawn from the soul, the French phase “Raison d'ętre” , meaning “reason for being” in English use, it also comes to
suggest an intense emotional attraction to a course of action, whereas writers express their emotions and meaning with the written word
and phrases, Lisa’s medium is the viewing of the image and the subliminal message behind the image.
