I've recently resumed painting after an intermission of about 35 years when I was engulfed by
domesticity and the demands of a large family.
After being dammed up for so long the works are busting out all over and show no sign of diminishing.
What do I want to achieve? Some sense of the mystery of this world, expressed with force and passion.
Other passions: writing art criticism for various publications including Art New Zealand and The
Listener 1985-92, reading compulsively, Mozart, pikelets, white violets, looking out high windows.
