Me 2
framed collage on paper
Di Tanner
This work is a bit tongue-in-cheek for me as I have somewhat ambivalent feelings about the Me2 movement - this sudden explosion of outrage about "man power"
As a woman in her 70's, I've spent a lifetime butting up against endless minor obstacles that could have got in the way of me, and my 2 daughters, being people rather than "only women".

The paper used in the collage was an experiment with colours

BLACK for the publicity given the Me 2 movement
RED for the anger the default mindset of most of the world often engenders.
WHITE for the invisibility of so many.

Di Tanner lives in Central Christchurch, New Zealand.
