Even the best memories

Assemblage of found objects
wooden jigsaw of photo, obscured with beads.

Dale Copeland 2022

Even the best of memories becomes obscured and fragmented.
The photo was of me breaking roofing tiles with my hand (a knifehand strike).
When I was grading to black belt, at the age of 60.
(Yes, it sounds old, but it was 18 years ago, time for memories to start getting fuzzy.)
It feels like a bit of a shame, having lived a joyful and eventful life, that I can remember so little of it.
I won't call it a waste because it was/is a great joy. But the memories are fading away.
