Souvenir from Korea   NFS
slab of stone with pen
Dale Copeland

In 2015 (and again in 2018) I travelled with a Taekwon-Do group to South Korea, visiting the sites where the history of Taekwon-Do was formed.

We performed the pattern Moon-Moo on the beach looking out at the island where Moon-Moo's body was buried, to "forever guard his land from foreign invasion".

I walked along the beach and found this stone.

I've been hand-polishing it, wondering how best to keep and display it.

There were souvenir pens from a Chang-Hon seminar in 2022, so I made the penholder with my stone.

It pleases me.
